Specialist technology services organisation, Insentra has partnered withCitrix to address the market explosion and demand for mobile device management.
The aim is to combine Insentra’s data management, security and availability with Citrix’s ‘desktops everywhere’ offerings to produce a valuable power proposition to the market, according to the company's managing director, Ronnie Altit.
“Citrix will position us to assist the channel and help it grow. They are a key vendor and have enormous potential, particularly with the demand for their offering,” he said.
As part of the partnership, Insentra has hired Chris Southgate as general manager for its Citrix practice. Southgate is in the process of hiring a team which will be taking care of design, implementation, health checks, and upgrades of Citrix environments.
Additionally, the team will be working actively with a new virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) in a box product, and building a practice around Citrix for Insentra partners to leverage.
To that end, the company is also cross-training its own employees as to provide the end user with the partnership’s overall goals.
Altit revealed Insentra’s future plans as well.
“We are looking to bring some managed services to the market via the channel," he said. "Managed services will generally be things that our partners don’t deliver today, and would otherwise like to deliver if they had the scale of business to do so.”
Altit mentioned that, although Insentra is concentrating on its partnership with Citrix, it will continue to search for additional large vendors, and assess any possible future opportunities, with an aim of adding value to the channel and vendors in a non-competitive way.
